- Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Korea: Enjoy 90 - day visa - free access.
- ASEAN Countries:
- Singapore/Malaysia: 90 - day visa - free stay.
- Thailand/Philippines: 30 - day visa - free stay.
- Note: Indonesia requires a pre - arranged e - visa and does not have visa - free access.
Mainland China Residents
- Exit - Entry Permit (EEP): A must for direct visits. There are endorsements available for individual/group travel, business, or family visits.
- Transit Rule: When transiting to/from a third country with a valid passport and an onward ticket, a 7 - day visa - free stay is allowed (applies in both directions).
Taiwan Residents
- Taiwan Compatriot Card: Enables a 30 - day visa - free entry
- Taiwan Passport Holders::Need to apply for an entry permit, except when transiting (in which case they can have a 7 - day visa - free stay).
Hong Kong/Macao SAR Residents
- Hong Kong Residents: Can enter without limit with a valid SAR passport or permanent ID.
- Macao Residents:
- Permanent residents: Have a 180 - day visa - free stay.
- Non - permanent residents: Enjoy a 30 - day visa - free stay with the Macao - HK Travel Permit.
General Requirements for All Travelers
