Malaysia Visa & Entry Requirements
For A-ATP 2026 conference attendees (tourism or business)Malaysia offers visa-free entry to citizens of over 130 countries for short tourism and business stays, with permitted durations of 14, 30, or 90 days depending on nationality.
Visa-Free Entry Highlights
- 90-Day Visa-Free: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, all EU member states, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, and many more.
- 30-Day Visa-Free: China (temporary exemption valid until 31 December 2026), India (temporary exemption valid until 31 December 2026), Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Russia, and most other ASEAN nations.
- 14-Day Visa-Free: Myanmar, Iran, Angola, and select other countries.
Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
All international travelers (except Singapore citizens, Malaysian permanent residents, and long-term pass holders) must complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online at least 3 days before arrival. The MDAC is free of charge and is a mandatory entry requirement separate from any visa.

- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry
- Confirmed return or onward travel ticket
- Proof of accommodation (hotel booking confirmation)
General Requirements for All Travelers
- Passport Validity: The passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the entry date.
- Compliance: Overstaying may result in penalties. The final permitted stay duration is determined by immigration officers.
